Political reactions multiply, Saturday, Sept. 20, the day after the attack that puts the crisis in Britain under the spotlight. The night before, two public buildings in Metro Morlaix (Finistère), which the tax office of the city were attacked by vegetable growers angry.

Government stood firm. “Nothing can justify violence” has dealt Prime Minister Manuel Valls, who promised legal action. “This is unacceptable,” , launched Marylise Lebranchu, Minister of Decentralization and Public Service. For its part, Stéphane Le Foll, Minister of Agriculture, has condemned “with the strongest abuses” Morlaix while calling “all actors to appeasement “.

While President FDSEA Finistère Thierry Merret praised the attack, the president of the FNSEA not formally condemned the attack but called for restraint. “The FNSEA has never called for violence. And last night, the acts were particularly serious” , said Xavier Beulin. For him, this reflects “exasperation of the agricultural world (…) a weariness, a species of ras-le-bol. Nevertheless, there are other forms of action” .
