PMA, GPA, what country allows what? – The World

While the movement known as the” AKI for all “Sunday mobilizes against medically assisted reproductive technology (ART) and surrogacy (GPA ), themes that are also react tenors of the UMP, here is the state of the law in different countries.

PMA ?, GPA, what difference The PMA includes different practices support fertilization: in vitro and via anonymous donor. It is generally permitted, sometimes for years, to heterosexual couples. The debate centers on the fact to make it usable for female couples. GPA means the use of a third party to “carry” the child of a couple (with or without implantation of a fertilized egg in vitro), whether heterosexual or homosexual. It may give rise to compensation for surrogacy.

1 . Authorizing the LDCs for gay couples in Europe

The PMA is allowed for same-sex couples in seven European countries: Belgium, Denmark (for married women only) Spain, Finland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Sweden

2 . Authorizing surrogacy in Europe

ABM is possible in seven European countries. Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Slovakia, no legislation prohibits, which authorizes fact. Surrogacy was legalized in Romania, but also in Ireland (a law, however, protects the embryo) and the UK (where it is forbidden to practice GPA “consideration” or via a forced operation).

As in Europe, many countries, especially among developing countries, do not govern surrogacy, which is to allow the fact. Only a minority of states have established legal statutes to regulate surrogacy (Britain, Canada, Brazil, India …). Conversely, some have explicitly forbidden, like France
