The Court of Justice of the Republic issued a dismissal for former Budget Minister Eric Woerth in the investigation in 2011 for illegal taking of interests in the matter of the controversial sale of 57 hectares of the forest of Compiègne, in 2010.
The UMP of the Oise had been placed under the status of assisted witness in this investigation. His detractors accused him of having sold the racetrack in favor of Compiegne Racing Society (CCS), until the tenant. The sale, for $ 2.5 million, had been authorized by order of the Ministry of the Budget, and involved three parcels, with a golf course and a racecourse.

Legal expertise conducted in 2012 concluded that the sale in question was legally possible and that its price was not a bad deal for the state.
