The French very pessimistic about the economic situation – Le Point

According to a BVA-Orange survey released Friday, nearly two-thirds of the French think that the economic situation of the Hexagon will lower at the end of next year and at the end of the term of Francois Hollande present. They are thus 68% think that the French economy will be lower at the end of 2015, while 30% think it will be better.

The Socialist supporters are the most optimistic, with 77% positive opinions. In contrast, 68% of party supporters to the left of the PS think it will be worse end of 2015 than at present. Supporters of the right are the most pessimistic: 89% of supporters of the UMP think the economy will deteriorate within a year, as 98% of the close of the National Front.

“Shrunken”

By professional category, the most disadvantaged are the most pessimistic, with 81% negative against 66% the most favored categories. Despite promises made by François Hollande, 64% of French people think that the state of the economy will be worse at the end of his term in May 2017, against 31% who think it will be better. Again, the Socialist supporters are 76% think it will be better, while 58% of party supporters left the PS think it will be worse. On the right, 89% of supporters of the UMP and 92% of the National Front also think it will be worse.

“Shrunken by the many broken promises of economic improvement, the French no longer believe, “said Eric Bonnet, director of policy studies at BVA Opinion. “Only a visible and lasting decline in the unemployment rate could probably change their dark vision of the future. But for now, nothing seems still to announce,” he adds. The survey was conducted on the Internet December 17 and 18 with a sample of 1,230 people representative of the population aged over 18 years and constituted under the quota method.
