Mailhos Pascal said that “the current balance of the regional public employment of the State will be maintained, or 55% to 45% for Toulouse and Montpellier”, during a press conference at the prefecture of the Aude. The prefect said not being able to quantify the precise impact of the reform on regional numbers but said the regional state services account for two thirds of the workforce reductions from 1 January 2016, against third for departmental services.
