His mare lasted for years. Romanian Gregorian Bivolaru, considered one of the “most wanted man” in his country, was arrested on Friday in Paris. The man, aged 64, conspiracy theorist and founder of the controversial sect Misa (spiritual integration movement at all), was sentenced in absentia in 2013 by the High Court of Justice and Cassation Romanian to six years’ imprisonment. He is accused of pedophilia and human trafficking, which he denies.
It appeared in the file of the “most wanted” Europol
Gregorian Bivolaru appeared in the newly created file by Europol, giving each of the 28 member countries of the European Union (EU) the right to disseminate widely information on the most dangerous and wanted fugitives. Figure example in this file Abdeslam Salah, accused of involvement in bombings in Paris in November. Each EU country can enter two names in that said file “most wanted” (most wanted, ed) visible by everyone on the Internet.
Gregorian Bivolaru was arrested “smoothly” door Champerret, in the northwest of the capital, by specialist officers from the national Parole Enforcement (BNRF), a the French judicial police. He was on the run for several years and “has benefited” from “many ramifications” and “support” during that time thanks to the followers of Misa, according to French police sources.
The suspect should be handed over to the Romanian authorities
The suspected sect encourages in particular the practice of yoga and has flourished in Europe which have been created “ashrams” (research centers) . It arouses controversy and some members or centers have been the subject of police investigations in Europe including prostitution suspicion refuted by Misa.
The suspect was to be presented Friday night at the General Prosecutor’s Office Paris Court of appeal to be then handed to the Romanian authorities, according to the same police sources
