A 17 year old girl who was found April 22 in a coma with his parents in Flers (Orne), amid excrement and rubbish, passed away Friday, do we learned from prosecutors of Argentan.
“She died this morning in hospital,” said the prosecutor of the Republic of Hugues Phily.
“His parents, indicted for failure to assist a person in danger, and placed under judicial control, incur five years in prison,” he said.
There fortnight, the police found the girl in a coma in extreme thinness, body smeared with excrement in places infected wounds. His legs were wrapped in several layers of clothes and upper body was bare.
The floor of his room was littered with feces and trash and gave off a stench. In the neighboring room parents, forties, lived in normal hygiene conditions.
The investigators had been alerted by firefighters that the mother had called while she “saw his girl in critical condition, “the prosecutor had said just after the discovery.
the investigation is just beginning. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact causes of death of the girl.
The mother, aged 45, employed, had told investigators she was going to drop ” time to time “food in the room.
the father, 48, is unemployed. Both without apparent psychiatric problems, however, have a “puzzling behavior” according to Mr. Phily.
If the indictment is the same, they will appear before the Criminal Court of Argentan. For their “offense”, the Penal Code provides for a maximum penalty of 5 years imprisonment.
