The Prefect of Puy-de-Dôme, has activated the level 3 “alert” heat wave plan of the county as of Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 17h. It is triggered when exceeding the alert thresholds: 19 ° C at night and 34 ° C during the day, for a minimum of three consecutive days. This alert is the meteorological vigilance map orange level. This period of heat wave will continue until at least during Saturday night 27 Sunday August 28th. From Thursday to Saturday afternoon, the expected temperatures on both Auvergne departments placed in orange alert will reach 35-37 dg. In late night and early morning, they will not fall below 18-20 dg.
