He had survived but was badly bitten in the arm.
The attack on Wednesday was the 18th since 2011. Seven of them were fatal. Since July 2013, the swimming and water activities are prohibited by prefectural off lagoon and out supervised areas. The spot of Saint-Leu is not part of the authorized areas.
