Thunderstorms: enlarged orange alert in 40 departments – The World

Forty departments, from the Pyrenees to the North-East quarter, were placed in amber alert “storms” by Météo France, Saturday, July 18, the Rhône department being both orange alert “storms “ and ” heatwave “

In its bulletin 16 hours, Météo France has established a monitoring start “storms” in 14 departments, those of Alsace, Champagne-Ardenne, Lorraine and Franche-Comté .

The Meteorological Institute also announced the continuation of 26 departments in orange vigilance “storms” already taken this morning: those of Auvergne, Burgundy, Limousin, Midi-Pyrenees and Ain, Dordogne, Landes, Loire, Lot-et-Garonne, the Pyrenees-Atlantiques and the Rhone.
