Navigo Pass: detailed State-Region agreement – Le Journal du Grand Paris

The Prime Minister has written to Valérie Pécresse to submit a series of financial commitments such as to finance the Navigo Pass for 2016 … and beyond via the CAVE.

An agreement has been concluded between the State and the Region regarding the financing of Navigo Pass. In a letter addressed to Manuel Valls Valérie Pécresse February 5, 2016, Prime Minister estimated 500 million euro cost of this measure for 2016. The agreement reached, at least for 2016, comes from the early repayment of a debt of RATP and SNCF to transport syndicate of Ile-de-France ( STIF) of up to EUR 300 million. Moreover, the prime minister asked that a job is committed as soon as possible with STIF to study how to clear funds for single Pass funding through the decline of the STIF subsidy to RATP, 100 million per year already planned as part of the contract between RATP and STIF for the period 2016 – 2020. in addition, and considering its good results, RATP could increase its investment effort 40 million, reducing all the expected grant Stif as such.

Valérie Pécresse also relies on the removal of the reduction granted so far to foreign families in an irregular situation, and on its anti-fraud plan, which could bring up to 30 million estimate operators to replenish its coffers. The Prime Minister stressed that the Savary law under consideration in Parliament should help to increase the efficiency of the fight against fraud.
