A Political History of page turns. The Summer of the socialist party to leave La Rochelle in 2016 to settle down in Nantes, shows the JDD on Saturday February 6th. The high mass of the PS is set in the prefecture of Charente-Maritime since 1993, but the party of Jean-Christophe Cambadélis seeks to gather the broadest possible way for 2017 and the choice of the city of Nantes (Loire-Atlmantique) come within this strategy.
Jean-Christophe Cambadélis should formalize this change on Saturday afternoon, after the end of the national council of the PS. The city of change would be symbolic, since Nantes remains the stronghold of former Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault.
La Rochelle was chosen in 1993 after the heavy defeat left in the legislative elections, which resulted in the second cohabitation under François Mitterrand. If this move “True, I have done the last La Rochelle without saying goodbye …” says to JDD the national secretary of the PS, David Assouline. This recognizes that a move is not illogical. “There were organizational problems, hotel and transport … This is a recurring issue for six, seven years”
