Foreign Law Act: Bernard Cazeneuve defends face of “accusations” of the opposition – RTL.fr

While deputies began Monday, July 20, 2015 in the evening to debate the bill “rights of foreigners”, Bernard Cazeneuve took the floor to defend the measures provided facing criticism from the opposition . Guillaume Larrivé, leader of Republican Party on this text, in particular criticized the immigration policy of the government, calling it “contrary to the national interest.”

Guillaume Larrivé, the member for the Yonne, proposed that the Assembly shall migratory quotas with a view to “immigration reduction” . An amendment “unconstitutional”, according to Bernard Cazeneuve which immediately refuted.

Faced with accusations of “laxity” the interior minister detailed the bill that aims to create a multi-year residence permit for foreigners in a regular situation, but also to facilitate the deportations . On this last point, Bernard Cazeneuve highlighted their gains since 2012 , taken as an example to demonstrate that “the firmness is less talk and more action.”
