Hérault: the killer drunk driver indicted – Le Parisien

The two girls of 17 and 19 years old from Montpellier, seriously injured after being knocked over in the night from Thursday to Friday in Lattes ( Hérault) near Montpellier, died as a result of their injuries. The drunk driver had fled.

A 24 year old man, suspected to have overturned, was arrested while intoxicated early Friday afternoon. The man who had 1g of alcohol per liter of blood according to police, admitted a collision with a scooter but denied being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Panicked, he testified, he would have gone home and then drinking.

However, “evidence suggests that he was under alcohol at the time of the accident,” said the prosecutor.
