Two new female faces made their entry into the government of Manuel Valls Wednesday. The Socialist MEP Martine Pinville became Secretary of State for Trade, Crafts and Consumer Affairs. Her colleague Clotilde Valter for his part, was appointed Secretary of State for State Reform and Simplification, where she succeeds Thierry Mandon, who took over the portfolio of Higher Education and Research.
No gesture towards the left wing. A simple “technical adjustment” according to the terms of Manuel Valls. But not only. There still has a political message in this mini-reshuffle. First, no poaching in slingers Socialist Party François Hollande believes not having to give signs to the left that the critical incessantly. The real reshuffle will come later. In the spirit President, the real reshuffle, the one to take him to the battle of 2017, will take place in January, after the regional elections.
