Right is on course to win two of the main cities of Hauts-de-Seine.

In the first round, the right was well positioned to remain at Asnieres and dropping Clichy-la-Garenne, the last socialist stronghold of the department.

In the Paris suburbs Department traditionally acquired the right, three municipal elections in 2014 were canceled because of irregularities, May 11, by the Council of State.

In addition Asnieres and Clichy-la-Garenne, voters were also recalled to the polls in Puteaux . Joëlle Ceccaldi-Raynaud (Republicans, former UMP) there was re-elected in the first round last Sunday

Towards an alternation in Clichy

Except surprise, Clichy-la-Garenne, rose last bastion of Hauts-de-Seine, should switch to the right: Rémi list Muzeau (LR-UDI-MoDem) came close to winning the first round with 48.83% of the vote. In the second round of the substitute Patrick Balkany to the Assembly finds the list PS-PCF-PRG Julian Perez (30.50%), former chief of staff of Gilles Catoire, town councilor of the city for thirty years, which decided to step down after the invalidation of the elections.

The road to Rémi Muzeau is all the more clear that Didier Schuller, old hand in politics in the Hauts-de-Seine who dreamed of conquering Clichy after crossing the desert and his conviction in a case of illegal financing of his political activity, did not participate in the election. The latter, with UDI candidate label in 2014, added the UMP and Modem notices on its posters and newsletters, “potentially depriving the voice UMP-MoDem list Mr. Muzeau” , had estimated the State Council to justify the annulment of the election.

A vigorous campaign in Asnieres

At Asnieres, bastion of right conquered by the left in 2008 but returned the first in 2014, the duel last year was renewed between the UMP incumbent mayor Manuel Aeschlimann and his Socialist rival Sébastien Pietrasanta, who was beaten with only 70 votes apart. In a tie, the list LR-UDI Mr Aeschlimann is very favorable position, having totaled 47.42% of the vote on June 14, before that of Mr Pietrasanta (36.30%) at the end of a campaign agitated between the two camps, as in 2014
