Ariege Evasion: one of the two prisoners still on the loose – Le Parisien

Jul 20 2015, 2:47 p.m. |. Update: 20 Jul 2015, 8:42 p.m.

. Two inmates of the prison in Foix, Ariege, tried to escape the wooden bell, to 5:15 Monday morning. If one managed to escape, another was caught up in the walls of the prison.

The two men managed to get out of their cells when everyone was asleep .

In this old prison from 1864, they managed to loosen the lintel of the window. This narrow passage allowed them to access the attic. They then punctured the roof with a foot metal table.

Once in the honor of the institution courtyard escapees found in a garage a very useful material: pallets that allowed one of them, A. Salim, 45, to climb the wall, a mattress to neutralize the alarm electrified 50,000 volts and a hose with which he fell back against the wall outside.

But another inmate probably envious of their getaway, denounced them directly by calling the police …, by 17! This is probably what prevented the second man, Tarik E., 27, to run away. For time, he hid in a court where he was found.

The fugitive fled on foot, without assistance of accomplices. Dogs gendarmerie have lost track in the city center of Foix on the height of the post. A police presence was set up to try to trace this man, a native of Egypt, who was serving prison terms for theft in a meeting one hand, and illegal entry in the country impersonating a third other.
