Bac 2016: record success rate at 88.5%, 0.7 percentage points year on year – Europe1

The success rate in the baccalaureate 2016 reached a record 88.5%, up 0.7 points year on year, according to the quasi-final figures released Saturday after oral catching up by the Ministry of Education.

632 700 new graduates. for routes, the success rate is almost stable for the general baccalaureate 91.4%, and for the technological tray 90.7%. The success rate climbs to 1.9 for the professional tray to 82.2%. The percentage of graduates in a generation stood at 78.6%. A total of 632,700 candidates have become graduates at the end of this session, the ministry said in a statement.

Over 91% success in general tray. In the general way, the success rate was 91.6% in science series (S), 91, 2% in literary series (L) and 91.1% economic and social series (ES). The previous record dated from 2014, with 87.9% of candidates after catching. The Minister of Education Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, quoted by the press, praised “the students and their teachers for these excellent results.”

The final figures will be published after the replacement of session September reserved for candidates who had an impediment in June.
