Weather : the Aude, Hérault and Pyrénées-Orientales on alert for rain and floods – The Parisian

Until Saturday afternoon, we are still waiting on these areas 60 to 100 mm, sometimes 150mm on the high cantons of Hérault, warns Météo France.

Les departments of the Aude, Hérault and the Pyrénées-Orientales have been placed in amber alert until Saturday, 16, for rains and floods, announced Friday evening Weather France.

“An axis quasi-stationary heavy rain storm has formed in the last few hours between the coast of the Pyrénées-Orientales (Collioure), the Corbières and the mountains of l’espinouse. On this axis, it has already fallen 60 to 100 mm, locally 100 to 130mm on the reliefs,” says the organization.

“In the night from Friday to Saturday, rain sometimes heavy rain and strong continue to affect the coastline of the Eastern Pyrenees, the eastern Aude and western Hérault. During the day of Saturday, the rains will shift slowly towards the east, losing gradually their intensity,” specify the Weather France.

“Between Friday the 22nd of legal hours, and Saturday afternoon, we are still waiting on these areas, 60 to 100mm sometimes 150mm on the high cantons héraultais”, warns the agency.
