It was triggered 18 times since its launch. So far, this system has proven effective. It is largely inspired by the map “Amber Alert”, created in Texas in 1996, following the kidnapping and murder of the little Amber Hagerman.

It is however activated if several criteria are met he takes out a kidnapping and not a single disappearance, the victim should be minor and physical integrity or her life to be in danger; information would be possible to locate the child.

The last “abduction alert” dates back to July 6, following the abduction of a 4 year old girl in L’Isle-d Abeau (Isère), recovered unharmed within minutes after triggering the alarm.
