A man killed by automatic weapon in a residential area in the east of Marseille (police) – Le Parisien

U n man who was riding scooter in a residential area in the east of Marseille, was killed Friday at midday with automatic weapons by two assailants on a motorcycle who fled, was it a judicial source.
Around 24:30, the victim, aged 40, has been overtaken by a motorbike which the passenger has fired an automatic weapon, “Kalashnikov-type”, described the prosecutor of Marseilles Xavier Tarabeux AFP. Thirty cases were found nearby. The two men on motorbikes fled.
The procedure is that of a settlement account but for now “no track is privileged,” the prosecutor added.
The victim had a criminal record and had been convicted of infringement made goods, but it was not known to be involved in drug trafficking. His last conviction date of 2011 and involved a theft case with fraud.
The investigation was entrusted to the judicial police (DIPJ) of Marseille.
This is the twentieth firearm deaths deplored since the beginning of the year in the Bouches-du-Rhône.
Thursday evening, another homicide suggesting for a possible settlement account was perpetrated in that department. The charred body of the victim was found in the trunk of a burning car in Pennes-Mirabeau, north of Marseille.
