The falls of snow or sleet, significant proportions are also expected in the Ile-de-France. traffic conditions can quickly become very difficult on the network as a whole, particularly in the forestry sector, where falling trees can accentuate the difficulties. Weather France calls for caution in the Ile-de-France and Corsica

“It is not in temperatures that are exceptional,” says Patrick Galois, forecaster with Météo-France. “We can talk about the cold wave of moderate intensity, a good shot of cold”.
Nothing to do with the “cold waves in the past, such as those of February 1956, or January, 1985″, he explains. In 1985, for example, the temperature had plunged to under 19 in Toulouse, the Garonne river was taken by the ice”.
