Hautes-Alpes – Avalanche A Savoyard killed in Queyras – Le Dauphiné Libéré

A Savoyard of 59 years died yesterday afternoon. She was taken away and buried by an avalanche while practicing ski touring in Ceillac (Hautes-Alpes), in the Massif du Queyras. Trapped in a wind slab in the hall of Heuvières just below the Pic de la Font Sancte, about 2500 meters above sea level, it was already in cardiac arrest to help arrives.

Despite several attempts at resuscitation, she died. Two other hikers, shaken by the cast, were transported to the hospital in Briançon. They are unharmed but in shock.
