Labour law: the coup government – The World

A fifty articles, more than 130 pages of text : the draft bill of the Minister of Labour, Myriam El Khomri, which has just been submitted to the State Council and Le Monde has obtained, could create a new fracture between the government and some of its majority. But if it fails, the Prime Minister and herself “prendron [t their] responsibilities” . Subtext: the government will rely on Article 49-3 of the Constitution, which allows to pass a bill without a vote. A plausible hypothesis because the critics already rising, the PS, against the direction of several considered pro-management measures.
