François Hollande gives a full grace to Jacqueline Sauvage – Le Figaro

Jacqueline Wild can get out of prison immediately, announced on Wednesday the presidency of the Republic, François Hollande, had decided to give him a rebate graceful the remainder of his prison sentence.

Jacqueline Wild was sentenced to ten years imprisonment for the murder of her violent husband. “The president of the Republic considered that the place of Ms. Wild was no longer now in prison, but with his family,” added the presidential palace.

The Elysée said that the president had bestowed his grace “after the opinion of the minister of Justice, entered December 9, after the rejection in the appeal of the application for parole of Jacqueline Wild. In a letter sent a week earlier to the president, the three daughters of Jacqueline Wild said they were “desperate” not to have their mother near them, “concerned for his state of health” and “fearing for his life”. A support committee chaired by the actress Éva Darlan was at the same time urged “solemnly” president Hollande to “free, granting him the full grace and immediate”.

His three daughters testified against their father, explaining how he was raped and beaten, as had been their mother.
After the rejection of his application for parole, his lawyers had indicated that Jacqueline Wild and her family gave up their appeal in cassation.
