The calendar for 2017 has what to rejoice to the French employees. In addition to the usual Easter Monday and Pentecost Monday, the next year their will be three other holidays to enjoy extended weekends.
Thus, on the 1st of may, the day of the feast of the work, but also on 8 may, commemorating the capitulation of germany in 1945, will fall on a Monday. As Christmas (and, therefore, the New Year 2018).
In addition, on 14 July, the day of the national holiday, will fall on a Friday. This brings to six the number of weekends extension “official” next year.
2016, annus horribilis
But the calendar will also offer some the opportunity to make the bridge several times. In addition to the traditional bridge Climb, it is possible that employees choose to extend the weekend of the 15th of August, it being a Tuesday.
Only shadow on the table: the 11th of November, which will fall on a Saturday…and of course on the 1st of January, this Sunday. A configuration much more favourable than in the 2016, where the 1st and 8th of may and the 25th of December have had the bad taste to fall on a Sunday.
