Inside the widow recovered the deceased’s personal effects, including a t-shirt, socks or a package of pencils. But the package also contained a long strap, one with which Jean-Michel ended his days.
A harassment complaint was filed
Extremely shocked Lysiane then contacted the owner of the company. It acknowledged that the rope had been used by her husband to commit suicide. He presented his apology to the widow, referring “an unfortunate mistake”, and denies any malicious intent, explaining that no one would have checked the contents of the package before shipping.
But these explanations do not soothe his anger. Lysiane accuses the company of intimidation .. Eight months after the suicide, she is convinced that her husband killed himself after being pressured at his place of work. The boss of the company recognizes that Jean-Michel has actually experienced tensions with a colleague. But “we had long since settled,” says he.
