A fire broke out this morning around 5am in a 7-storey building of the fifteenth arrondissement of Paris, causing two deaths and 10 injuries, 1 serious.
The fire started in an apartment on the third floor of this building dating from 1930 and would be of an accidental nature. The first victim, a 30 year old yelled to ask for help and was forced to jump out the window, her body being ravaged by flames. The second forty years was found charred on the stairs of the building.
A father of Russian family 40 years whose wife and child 2 years are also among the victims, he was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
The area was closed to traffic and an important device consisting of a thirty vehicles and more than 100 firefighters were deployed to extinguish the fire and evacuate the victims, five of whom had taken refuge on the roof to escape the flames.
