“Citizens Dialogues”: Holland or the temptation of indifference – The Point

François Hollande has not clearly aroused great interest Thursday evening on France 2, with only 3.5 million viewers. A worrying signal for the head of state, which relied heavily on the show to explain his policy and get back into the optics 2017.

The show Citizen Dialogues put the president, mired in record unpopularity, faces four French and three journalists, Leah Salameh Karim Rissouli and David Pujadas. She recorded “3.5 million viewers to 14.3% audience share,” a low score, which represents just over a third of the ratings reached at its previous televised speech (9.9 million), indeed broadcast live on TF1 and France 2. by comparison, in February 2011, about a year before the presidential election, as Francois Hollande on Thursday night, Sarkozy was followed by 8.3 million viewers during a broadcast on TF1. A show with Mr Sarkozy in 2008 on France 3 was however concerned that 3.8 million viewers.

A “feeling better” deemed “inaudible”

But to François Hollande, interviewed Friday by journalists during a company visit in Venette (Oise), this issue was “useful” and “necessary”, calling for a “direct dialogue” with the French. “You have here the proof that the economy recovers,” he has also said in an exchange with trainees and the company’s temporary, when asked if he was not in the denial when he says that France “is better.” Thursday, for nearly two hours, the head of state has indeed insisted that France was “better” with “more growth, less deficits, less taxes and more competitive.” Hollande also promised that he would reform “to the end” of its mandate. As for a possible candidacy, he will announce his decision “at the end of the year,” probably “in late November, early December,” after the primary from the right, said Friday PS leader Jean-Christophe Cambadélis.

autosuggestion

most editorialists were however skeptical Friday morning on the “Coue method” of François Hollande. The Republic of the Pyrenees , Jean-Marcel Bouguereau emphasizes the “contrast between the four French speaking of their lives and their concerns and self-satisfaction expressed by the president.” Not surprisingly, the reactions of the opposition are final. “The president is in over a year. It will be long. Very long, “sighed the MP (Republicans) Thierry Solère. “A kind of anti-President” Jean-Francois Cope, a “labor inspector” for Jean-Pierre Raffarin, while President (LR) of the Senate Gerard Larcher had “the impression that we vi ( vai) does not in the same country. ” In “slingers” PS, the judgment is less severe but the tone remains negative. “Dignity, but no ambition to distrust height,” responded to AFP Christian Paul (PS), for whom “it gets better” Presidential is “inaudible”, a true “political mistake gender curve of unemployment “. Its inaccuracies about youth unemployment, which is the European average while it is highest in France, or about a mosque a Salafi imam of Brest, announced closed then than it is not, were moreover the delights of social networks. It remains to defend the Head of State, the members of the government, Stéphane Le Foll ahead, and the first secretary of the PS Jean-Christophe Cambadélis.
