For now, eleven personalities have declared their intention to contribute to the primary of the right and center of the 20 and 27 November. But all of these applications will not be formalized because the bar is high to qualify: each contender must indeed have the signature of 20 MPs, as well as 250 elected representatives (from at least 30 different departments) and 2 500 members to date of contribution (15 departments).
Friday, April 22, race sponsorship will be officially launched. All nominated candidates will have ballots to be completed by their supporters. “It will ring the opening of the hunting” , smiled a heavyweight of Republicans (LR). Currently, only the four “big” – Alain Juppé, Nicolas Sarkozy (who should declare his candidacy by the end of August), Bruno Le Maire and François Fillon – are sure to meet the required number of referrals . Everyone intends to display the maximum to make a show of force at the official submission of signatures, on 9 September.
The balance of power between the four favorites seems not overlap their positions in the polls since François Fillon seems able to meet the most seats. Without waiting for the ballots …
