The residence of the deputy mayor (UMP) of Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, Philippe Briand was raided Thursday morning by the police anti-corruption office. A transaction that occurs as part of the investigation into the Bygmalion case.

Philippe Briand had his home raided by the police anti-corruption office Thursday morning, as part of Investigation on Bygmalion case. The deputy mayor (UMP) of Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire asked Jan. 9 the lifting of his parliamentary immunity in order to be heard in this case. Lifting decided on January 23 by the National Assembly.

The company Bygmalion is suspected of having produced false invoices for the benefit of the UMP, in the context of the presidential campaign of 2012. Philippe Briand was then treasurer the campaign of Nicolas Sarkozy.
