Two inmates escaped this morning shortly before 10 hours of the Central Saint-Martin-de-Ré and were caught by the police about 1 hour later, according to La Rochelle prosecution.
The two detainees were s escape after being kidnapped technical officer, said the prosecutor of La Rochelle.
The prosecutor declined to time to discuss the procedure of the
escape and profile escapees of the Central jail where inmates serving long sentences. 
The island of Ré was immediately cordoned off by the police and in particular access to the bridge from the island of Ré, only access to the mainland.
