A police commander was killed by multiple stab wounds Monday night, around 20:30, while returning to his Magnanville home, in the Yvelines. the assailant, identified as being from Larossi Abballa, was then cut at the home of his victim with the family of one. He was shot dead by police during a raid of assault. the wife of the victim, an official of the Ministry of Interior, was found dead. the couple’s son, aged three, was “shocked but unharmed.”
attack was claimed by the news agency organization Islamic state. the terrorism prosecutor took up the investigation. a native of Mantes-la-Jolie, Larossi Abballa was sentenced to three years in prison (of which six months suspended) in 2013 for participating in a jihadist thread to Pakistan. Tuesday morning, searches were ongoing.
