The information was given by a judicial source. A sixth suspect arrested Wednesday evening in Paris in the investigation of the attack and the burning of a police car in the capital was indicted Friday evening, including “attempted murder” on police and jailed, has said Saturday. The 39-year-old is suspected of having participated directly, on May 18, the attack on the police vehicle in which were two agents. Slightly injured, they could out of the car which was ablaze after a shooting smoke. Five suspects have already been indicted, including “attempted murder” of the police.
The facts took place near the Republic Square, where against-banned demonstration degenerated into margin an unprecedented gathering to call police unions against the “anti-hate cops.” The images of the scene, widely disseminated on the Internet, have caused outrage: several hooded people attacked the car turns, one breaking a window, another striking a policeman, another still breaking the rear window to the using a metal stud. Finally, someone threw a lit smoke in the car, causing a fire and forcing the officers to get out.
Five indictments
Five suspects already indicted in the case, including attempted murder of police officers, destruction and violence by organized gangs and three of them are in custody. At this point, none is suspected of throwing the smoke. The five suspects were identified by an anonymous witness. But it turned out to be that of an undercover police officer on site, his name on a report by mistake.
The lawyers for indicted denounce unfair investigation and without proof. Close to some of the anti-fascist movement, individuals recognize their presence at the scene but deny having taken part in the violence. The sixth suspect is not related to these areas, said a judicial source.
