Thunderstorm, rain and flooding: Finistère, Morbihan and Côtes d’Armor placed in amber alert – francetv info

Thunderstorms with very heavy rains are expected this Friday on the west of Brittany. Meteo France placed the three departments of the tip of Brittany orange alert for flood risk.

A rain-storm disturbance is taking place on the Gulf of Biscay west of Brittany and stormy rains come on the Finistere and Morbihan. They should then be generalized on all three Breton departments placed in orange alert (Finistère, Côtes d’Armor and Morbihan).

orange vigilance “rain-flood” covers the period 9h to 22h , said the report from Météo France, which provides for fair weather “locally intense and sometimes accompanied by hail”, which then will shift eastward during the afternoon and the evening.

the most important accumulations are expected order 30 to 50 mm, locally up to 60 mm very . Note that these accumulations are expected in about a dozen hours.
