The prefect of Pas-de-Calais Fabienne Buccio announced Friday will evacuate “about half” of the area of the “jungle” of Calais, home, she said, “800 to 1000 people” about 4 000 migrants. “The time has come to take another step”, “no one has to live on (the) southern part of the camp (…), everyone has to leave this part,” said Fabienne before the press Buccio. According to the association of migrant hostel though, about 2 000 people camped in this part. Reeve said that, “Monday, the sub-prefect and (its) chief of staff” would visit “migrant communities to explain” the state project. “One week we will leave them to occupy the seats that are available to them” other than in the tent camp, “if a true movement is created, over time we will leave,” she said.
