The victim and suspect did not know each other. A man has been indicted and jailed Friday night for murder, after the discovery in his garden in the body of a Toulousain disappeared at the beginning of October, a-t-on learned from the public prosecutor of Toulouse. On Wednesday, the suspect was presented to the police and confessed to having buried the victim at his home in Montastruc-la-Conseillère (Haute-Garonne). He had then guided the police to the discovery of the body.

The identity of the victim confirmed

His extended police custody Thursday, it was referred on Friday night and charged with “voluntary homicide” before being placed in custody, reported to the public prosecutor. The autopsy performed Friday confirmed that the victim was Jean-Philippe Raynaud, 32 years old, disappeared on the night of 30 September to 1 October. The cause of his death, however, have not been determined, pending the results of all the analyses.

The thirty-year-old had gone missing after a dinner with colleagues: phone cut off, car not found, the police had no record of this man and considering all the assumptions (accident, bad meeting, voluntary departure). They have launched an appeal for witnesses.

The car not found

The suspect is a “thesis ” accidental”, said the prosecutor’s office, which indicates that the victim and the accused did not know each other before the evening of the facts. The car has not been recovered.
