Yvetot-Bocage. Mowed by a car, two women killed in Normandy – West-France

Two women of 56 and 64 years of age were killed soon after 19 h by a car, yesterday, Friday 9 December, when they crossed, on foot, the road 902 at a place called Tapotin, in the town of Yvetot-Bocage, in the English Channel.

Friday night, two pedestrians who were crossing the provincial road 902 at a place called Tapotin on the town of Yvetot-Bocage near Valognes (Manche), have been mowed by a car. The two women, 64 and 56 years, died on the spot. According to witnesses, they went to a restaurant right near there.

Four people in a state of shock

Four other persons 14, 22, 23, and 53-year-old who followed in a car were shocked by the accident. They have been taken care of by the medical teams dispatched on-site.

30 firefighters on site

a total of 30 firefighters from Valognes, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Cherbourg, Montebourg, and Bricquebec have been mobilized, as well as two medical teams from Cherbourg and Valognes. An investigation has been opened and the prosecutor should go to the place in the evening.
