According to Météo-France, some moderate thunderstorms can strike locally in the mid-afternoon between Médoc and Poitou-Charentes, precursors a more marked deterioration, with potentially violent storms that affect the Gironde and the west end of the Poitou-Charentes afternoon before shifting to the east in the evening and early night.
Meteoconsult announces that the characteristics of the rain-showers are strong offensive rainfall intensities, a major electrical activity (including Poitou-Charente), a risk of hail, sudden gusts of wind (especially Aquitaine and Vendée) and a foehn storm of the Pyrenees. A risk of formation of vortex phenomena is not excluded.
