“I am still Charlie’: victims of January 2015 honoured in Paris – Clicanoo

“Jean Cabut dit Cabu”, “Clarissa Jean-Philippe”, “Yohan Cohen”… Two years after the attacks against Charlie Hebdo and the Hyper Hide, a few hundred people gathered Saturday evening place of the Republic in Paris, in a tribute sober to the 17 victims, whose names have been read.

The gathering had been announced Friday, at the call of the French Association of victims of terrorism (AfVT), supported by several organizations, including SOS Racisme, Licra and the UEJF.

“You couldn’t not be there”, has told the press Guillaume Denoix de Saint Marc, director-general of the AfVT, a panel “I am still Charlie’ in the hand.

“We see that after each attack the time of national cohesion is growing short”, he pointed out, regretting “a trivialization of the attacks,” against which “we must fight”.

For Dominique Sopo, president of SOS Racism, there must be “a work of mindfulness of the long-term compared to those who want to exploit flaws in the French company to split, what do the jihadists”.

“It is the spirit of 11 January ?”, said Mary, disillusioned, referring to the event giant after the attacks of January 2015. “Solidarity is not a one day event. All the days the victims are in need of attention, recognition,” stressed the member of the AfVT, thinking of the “wounded that are operate all the time.”
