Primary UMP. Juppe exceeds Sarkozy ahead of the vote – West France

Alain Juppe, with an increase of 15 points compared to July, for the first time ahead of Nicolas Sarkozy in the polls for the primary “open” in 2016 right, but the former president remains the favorite of UMP, according to an LH2 poll for Le Nouvel Observateur published Thursday.

Former Prime Minister collects 47% of the vote among those who intend to participate in the primary for the presidential election in 2017 (28% of French, which 60% of UMP.)

Nicolas Sarkozy, involved in the campaign for the presidency of the UMP, is credited with 35% of the vote, down three points from the previous measure July.

“The official return of the former president is not as beneficial as expected”

The progression of Alain Juppé “lets consider that the official return of the former president is not as beneficial as expected, even as court cases concerning the harm it” , notes LH2.

Nicolas Sarkozy maintains the lead in voting intentions among supporters of the UMP (51%) despite a decline of three points, followed by Alain Juppé (37%) earning eight points.

Fillon third among UMP supporters

From potential participants in the primary, Bruno Le Maire (10%, +2 points) ahead of François Fillon (5%, -3 points) and Xavier Bertrand (2% , -1 point). 1% did not comment.

From the UMP, Francois Fillon is third with 7% (7%, -1 point), before Xavier Bertrand (2%, +1) and Bruno Le Maire ( 2%, -3 points). One percent did not comment.

The survey was conducted via the Internet on 8 and 9 October with a sample of 1,224 people representative of the French population aged 18 and over.
