The National Housing Agency (Anah) benefit in 2016 of the appropriations needed for energy renovation of 70,000 units, against 50,000 now, as part of its “Live Better”, announced in Rennes new minister Emmanuelle Cosse of Housing, on his first official visit. “The Anah will get an additional contribution that will allow it to reach 70,000 units” rehabilitated in 2016 under the energy renovation, she said.
“The president had already confirmed several times the action of the Anah who now carries a target of 50,000 assisted housing units on 2015, “the minister said. He “had hoped that commitments are brought to 70,000 units in 2016 and we have just obtained the fact that we have the necessary funds,” said Emmanuelle Cosse.
Launched in 2013 as part of the plan energy housing renovation, the “live better” program has renovated nearly 50,000 homes in 2014 and 2015, half of which were held by households living below the poverty line, said the ministries of environment and Housing and sustainable habitat. This program allows for “very significant energy savings on housing, with an average energy saving of around 40%”, and its acceleration in 2016 “could well lead to the creation of 24,000 jobs in France” they said.
“one of the major challenges to the head of the Ministry of Housing is obviously responding to the social emergency, to help the territories to build, innovate ( …) and sustained commitment on the renovation of housing, “said Emmanuelle Cosse, who attended Thursday at the presentation of the local housing policy of Rennes.
